The challenge
Kingston University Service Company Ltd (KUSCO) manages facilities and services on behalf of Kingston University. They wanted to open up the university’s spaces for external hire — for businesses, events, and accommodation — but didn’t have a clear marketing strategy or brand identity to support this initiative.
They approached us to help them develop a professional, standalone brand and implement a strategy to promote their offering beyond the university community.
Our approach
We began with a comprehensive marketing planning exercise, analysing their goals, audiences, and available assets. From this, we produced a detailed 12-month marketing plan, covering everything from branding to lead generation strategies.
This planning phase led to a broad and collaborative project implementation, including:
- Creating a completely new brand identity — “Space at Kingston” — to position the university’s facilities as an external-facing service
- Website development using WordPress and Elementor, hosted securely with us
- Strategic SEO implementation to boost organic discoverability
- Setup and management of new social media channels
- Launch of email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and client relationships
The website was designed to showcase the available spaces with easy navigation, feature-rich pages, and call-to-actions for booking tours and making enquiries.
The results
The result was a fully developed and implemented brand, giving the university’s offering a new identity and presence in the local market. The Space at Kingston website now acts as a central hub for enquiries and lead generation, with enhanced functionality to support bookings and exploration of facilities.
We continue to support SEO performance, and set up their social media and email marketing, ensuring that the brand is not only visible — but actively engaging its target market.
The client is delighted with the results and has already seen an increase in engagement and visibility, with a growing number of qualified leads coming through multiple digital channels.
