6 Month Kickstart Placement (25 Hours per week)

We have a vacancy for a 16-24 year old as Digital Marketing Support for Activ Digital Marketing in Kingston as part of the Government Kickstart scheme – must be registered unemployed and claiming universal credit. Flexible hours and remote working possible. On the job training provided.

The role will provide support for both the business operations and delivery of services to clients. It is intended to support existing clients with the redevelopment of their websites over the period into our new WordPress ‘Fortress’ environment and the individual will provide specific support for this activity.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Updating website content for clients
  • Redevelopment of existing websites on new WordPress environment
  • Preparation of photos/graphics and other marketing assets
  • Support for the business social media promotion
  • Administration duties including report preparation, accounts admin
  • Depending on the progress of the individual, there may also be opportunities to develop more advanced skills including:
  • Creation of new site designs/layouts
  • Implementation of more advanced website functions and features
  • Setup of social media channels


It is expected that for the first 2 weeks it will be necessary to spend the majority of time at the home office location and thereafter once per week to allow for further training and support.  For the majority of time, the individual will work remotely from home.


The individual should have a general aptitude for IT and an interest in gaining skills and experience in digital marketing. Any previous experience in web design, image editing, graphic design, use of social media platforms or office IT products would be useful but not essential.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Excellent communication skills with a good standard of English, both orally and importantly, written.

  • A proactive approach to taking on responsibility and using initiative is important as well as being flexible with ability to adapt working style and behaviour as required.

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated approach, being happy to work remotely and manage own workload.
  • Customer service appreciation.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
